My Favorite Quotes

I actually have many favorite quotes but limited space.
Each individual quote I have selected here was exactly what I needed to hear in order to remain at peace during the particular time
of my life in which I discovered it.

When I read, for example, the quote from the great Bill Evans I was able to relax, regroup and keep plugging at my own personal artistic vision.

I hope that one or more of these little gems will have a similar and profound effect on you. As Musicians we must be open to learning from everyone - especially when it can help us overcome our struggles with personal dignity and/or self esteem.

My Favorite Quotes… for now…

I say this because it’s a good message to give to young talents who feel as I used to."

Albert Einstein

"Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid"

Friar, Stigmatist, Saint

Francis of Assisi

"We cannot know the patience and humility of a servant of God, as long as all his wishes are gratified and all his wants supplied. But when the time comes that those around him conduct themselves in the opposite manner, then it is that we can judge of his patience and humility by his conduct."

There are one million well described reasons why you can not practice today. There is one reason alone why you will. You love it. If that love is not there then you are not an artist.
